Volunteers assist in various areas of the Travel For Me Family, such as a volunteer certified chaperones, volunteer for travel research and logistics.
Travel Aides we are seeking Travel Aides, also known as Fun Ambassadors, for certified chaperones to support and assist seniors and adults who need extra assistance as a result of: head trauma, stroke and with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Experience with seniors, people with cognitive challenges or with IDD is desired, but not mandatory
Travel Aide position is on-call and should not be relied on for steady income.
Travel Aide MUST volunteer for one tour before being paid $60 per day.
Travel For Me creates tours for expanding experiential learning and enhancing the self-esteem of every traveler. We tour destinations such as: Aquarium of the Pacific and Harbor Cruise, Disneyland, San Francisco and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Requirements include:
Having a spirit of team work and a pleasant disposition
Having compassion and respect for people with disabilities
Good communication skills; Accurate attention to detail
Strong energy, ability to work long days and still have a great attitude
Verifications and Certifications
A valid passports for international destinations
Valid identification
Clear driving/DMV record
CPR and First Aid Training
Live Scan
Complete the Three Step Process
Step 1 Attend Travel Aide orientation and training.
Step 2 Complete the On the Job Training session
Step 3 Complete all the required forms and certifications
